Trojans Wire does a call-in show most weeks at The Voice of College Football. We have our regular Monday night show with Mark Rogers, but we also do a call-in show with Tim Prangley, usually on Fridays. We did a Friday call-in show just before the Pac-12 Championship Game. Little did we know that USC’s defensive coordinator was going to be hired while we were on the air.
What made this show even more hilarious and memorable is that the news of the hire broke pretty much when we were closing down the show. We had already discussed the defensive coordinator search for nearly an hour. We went through various candidates and engaged in speculation about several different options for USC. Then we saw the Pete Thamel breaking-news tweet. We had to end the show and get here to Trojans Wire to post stories. Later on Friday night, we went back to YouTube and did another call-in show to give USC fans a chance to react to the D’Anton Lynn hire.
