Trojans Wire goes on national podcast to discuss bubbles, brackets and more

We joined the Powers On Sports podcast from @JPoSports to examine bubble teams other than USC. Keep an eye on them.

It’s basketball season. It’s also bubble season. It’s simply that time of year. The Super Bowl is behind us, which means college basketball now takes center stage for the next several weeks on the American sports scene, before the NBA and NHL playoffs and the NFL draft.

Trojans Wire went on the Powers on Sports podcast from Tampa-based podcast host Jason Powers to discuss a range of college basketball topics, plus a little bit on the Super Bowl, won by USC’s JuJu Smith-Schuster for the Kansas City Chiefs. We looked at possible No. 1 seeds in the tournament and some potential sleepers for March Madness, but the topic of greatest interest to USC fans is the collection of bubble teams the Trojans are battling for one of the final few spots in the field of 68. Two particularly high-profile bubble teams are Kentucky and North Carolina, teams which — if in a similar position to USC on Selection Sunday — might get the nod over the Trojans because of their TV ratings drawing power.
