The Buccaneers’ selection of Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs in April’s NFL draft was seen as a huge get for a team that was in the market for one of the class’ top-ranked tackles.
Wirfs will be plugged in right away up front to help provide stability along an O-line that surrendered 47 sacks last season on former quarterback Jameis Winston. Tampa Bay can’t afford to let their new quarterback Tom Brady take a pounding like that, especially since the six-time Super Bowl champion will be 43 when the 2020 kicks off.
But Wirfs seems ready for the challenge, and the Bucs should be thrilled by their selection of the talented young rookie. And while Wirfs wowed scouts with his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis earlier this year, a video of him jumping out of a pool was what turned many heads.
And, Wirfs decided to see if he still had it in him over the weekend. Take a look.
