When it comes to trash talk, none may have been more brutal than Hall of Fame Boston Celtics big man Kevin Garnett. The Big Ticket was a soul-crushing force on the parquet when it came to crushing the will and focus of his opponents on the court, as has been testified to eternity and back by both teammates and opponents.
In a recent interview on ESPN’s “NBA Today” show, Kendrick Perkins shared his memory of Garnett’s trash talk. Perkins was a fellow frontcourt member of KG’s 2008 title team with the Celtics.
Onetime Cleveland Cavalier center (and later, Boston big man, though long after KG had left) Tristan Thompson had a Garnett trash talk tale of his own.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear their thoughts on what the Big Ticket accomplished via psy ops.
