Buckle up, folks. Pac-12 basketball is going to be a wild ride next season. Pac-12 hoops appears to be as loaded in USC’s final season as Pac-12 football appears to be this coming autumn. USC’s last go-round in the Pac-12 will be an adventure in both sports.
USC and Arizona are expected to be the two best teams in Pac-12 basketball this coming season. UCLA is in the mix. Colorado has to be included among the top tier of teams in the conference. The Buffaloes received great news on Wednesday. Tristan da Silva announced he is coming back to Boulder for one more season.
“Da Silva had his best year in the black and gold last season, putting up a career-high 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Along with that, he proved to be a versatile defender for the Buffs and improved his 3-point shot, hitting 39% from deep this past season. That strong campaign earned him first-team All-Pac-12 honors.
“He’ll now return to a stacked Buffs team headlined by fellow All-Pac-12 honoree KJ Simpson and McDonald’s All-American Cody Williams, a five-star incoming freshman.”
USC might have an elite roster, but the Trojans will have to earn their place in the Pac-12 next season. If the Trojans slip, Colorado could easily rise to the top of the conference.
