After four years of efficient all-around play with the Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball program, the Orlando Magic enjoyed such play from Tristan da Silva in his NBA 2K25 Summer League debut Friday afternoon.
Orlando, which bested the reigning summer league champion Cleveland Cavaliers, saw a great showing from its summer league roster. Da Silva, the Magic’s recent first-round selection, fit right in with the starting five, posting 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal in the 106-79 win.
Da Silva’s day was highlighted by strong shooting and efficiency. He went 50% from the field and knocked down three of his five 3-point attempts. The 6-foot-9 forward played well on both ends of the floor, something he did well during his days at Colorado under head coach Tad Boyle.
Da Silva and the Magic play the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. MT on NBA TV.
Orlando Magic rookie Tristan Da Silva finished with 13 points, all three of his field goals being catch-and-shoots from behind the arc. Standing out to me was his overall feel for the game, and willingness to make the extra pass pic.twitter.com/zgb9VYBr1l
