The Boston Celtics have, along with the rest of the league, brand new updates to their NBA 2K ratings, though fans will have to wait until November 10th to see their full team’s ratings, due out with the release of the Next-Gen version release due out on that date.
The game’s Twitter account teased the unexpected ratings adjustment with a trio of updates for Boston stars in All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum, All-Star point guard Kemba Walker and franchise pillar Jaylen Brown.
Tatum’s star continues its ascent with a bump to a 90 rating made evident by his outstanding postseason play, while the UConn product held steady at 86.
Brown jumped up to 86 from 84, likely due in large part to being the Celtics’ most reliable player in the playoffs on a night-to-night basis.

Keep an eye out for the full team ratings next month.
We think these new ratings are a solid accounting of where this trio stands in relation to the rest of the league, but it’s always interesting to see whether the game holds players dear to the hearts of Celtics fans in as high a regard as they do.
