Even Trevor Lawrence was in awe of his 2021 NFL Draft classmates. The Clemson quarterback, the projected No. 1 overall pick, has used social media to cheer on the other top quarterback prospects, including Ohio State’s Justin Fields and BYU’s Zach Wilson.
Both players put together impressive pro day performances this month, with one throw standing out as the crowning jewel of each workout. For Fields, he managed a throw on a rollout to his left and he rocketed a ball 50 yards downfield near the end zone. For Wilson, he fired a ball roughly 40 yards to his right while rolling to his left.
Both throws seemed to be perfectly placed. Both throws had an insanely high degree of difficulty. And Lawrence took note on Twitter.

It’s pretty awesome to see Lawrence rooting for his competitors — although it’s not like they’re any real threat to take away his position as the top prospect in this year’s draft.
