A nightmarish game for the Jacksonville Jaguars included a right shoulder for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
After throwing his first touchdown pass of the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the third quarter, Lawrence was checked on by trainers on the sideline. He was later replaced in the game by backup C.J. Beathard.
This doesn't look good for Trevor Lawrence and the @Jaguars 😔 pic.twitter.com/PInc6fZt1z

With the game well out of hand, Beathard may have been on his way to the field soon anyway. But Lawrence was ruled questionable by the Jaguars and was eventually ruled out.
After the game, Lawrence said the injury happened on a fourth down conversion when he dove for a first down on a 2-yard rush and landed on his shoulder.
Lawrence completed 18 of his 30 passes Sunday for 216 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also led the Jaguars in rushing with 29 yards, but was credited with fumbling twice. The third-year quarterback entered the game as questionable after landing in the NFL’s concussion protocol last week.
