The Kentucky Wildcats have had injury issues all season. Until Tuesday’s game against Ole Miss, they hadn’t played a game with their entire roster all season. They finally had everyone healthy to start the game versus the Rebels, but, unfortunately, wouldn’t end that game under the same circumstances.
During the course of play, forward Tre Mitchell, one of the veteran leaders of the team, injured his shoulder fighting through a screen. Coach John Calipari said after the game that he had gotten an x-ray, but no other updates followed.

The Auburn Tigers are a very good team, and Kentucky was hoping to be at full strength against them. It appears that won’t be the case, though. As the rest of the team warms up, Mitchell is in street clothes, signalling that he won’t be playing.
The loss of Mitchell is big for Kentucky. He’s averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds per game. More importantly, he is one of only a few veterans in the rotation, and brings a calming influence to the floor. He makes few mistakes, and is a key defender inside. Auburn will look to take advantage of his absence.
