The 2022 NFL Draft has concluded, and the Jacksonville Jaguars started the whole process by selecting Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker with the No. 1 overall pick. Now, almost a week later, the figures that will be on his rookie contract have been revealed thanks to ESPN’s Field Yates, who reports the deal will be worth over $37.3 million, all of which is fully guaranteed.
Yates also revealed that Walker’s signing bonus would be worth over $24.3 million, and the deal would include a fifth-year option.
The value for Jaguars DE Travon Walker’s contract has now been officially set: he’ll sign a 4-year, $37,372,621 fully-guaranteed deal that includes a $24,360,088 signing bonus and a 5th-year team option.

This will be the second consecutive time the Jags have had to pay out a contract to the No. 1 overall pick. They did it with quarterback Trevor Lawrence as well. His deal was a four-year one worth $36.8 million, with $24.1 million being guaranteed. Lawrence’s signing bonus was slightly less as he received one worth $24.1 million.
Walker’s contract won’t be the only first-round one the Jags have to get done in the coming weeks. They will also have to agree to a deal with Devin Lloyd after the team traded up to the back of the first round (pick No. 27) to acquire him last Thursday.
According to Over the Cap, his salary is projected at slightly over $14.5 million with a signing bonus of over $7.7 million.
