Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl touchdown was the best news for bettors, and the worst for sportsbooks

And it didn’t take long at all.

One of the most popular player prop bets for Super Bowl 57 was Travis Kelce as an anytime touchdown scorer.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had the best odds to score a touchdown, and bettors jumped all over them. He was the most bet player to score at many sportsbooks, including BetMGM, and he made up a whopping 28.9% of the anytime TD money bet at DraftKings, according to Action Network’s Darren Rovell.

One FanDuel bettor had $460,000 riding on Kelce to score at -115 odds. That of course made him a huge liability for sportsbooks, and they paid the price almost immediately.

Kelce scored on the Chiefs’ very first drive of the game.
