The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t get a first round bye in the NFL playoffs this year but it sure felt like they did last night as they blew out Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers so badly that Arrowhead Stadium ran out of celebratory fireworks.
For real, that actually happened.
Patrick Mahomes threw for five touchdowns but the best touchdown pass of the night came from his good buddy, tight end Travis Kelce who threw his first TD pass of his career in the fourth quarter of the 42-21 Chiefs win.
Look at this dime that Kelce threw to Byron Pringle.

After the game Kelce’s mom, Donna, crashed his press conference and asked a sweet question about that pass:

That was a pretty great. What a proud mom. Donna had quite a day yesterday, too, as she watched her other son Jason play against the Bucs in Tampa before making it to Kansas City for the Travis’ game.
