Travis Hunter stars as Colorado wins to become bowl eligible

Colorado defeated Cincinnati and is bowl eligible

Travis Hunter had nine catches, including two for touchdowns, as the Colorado defeated Cincinnati, 34-23, in Big 12 play on Saturday night.

Deion Sanders’ team won its sixth game of the season and is now eligible for a bowl game. The last time the Buffs played in a bowl game was 2016.

The Buffaloes led 31-14 at one point but the Bearcats got a field goal and touchdown to close within eight.

Colorado went on a drive that wound up with a field goal by Alejandro Mata to open the gap to 11 and essentially ice the game.

Hunter made an incredible catch — his ninth — on the drive despite being interfered with as a Cincinnati defender had him around the neck.

Shedeur Sanders was 25-of-30 for 323 passing yards and the two touchdowns to Hunter.

It wasn’t all glory for Hunter as Cincy tight end Joe Royer shed him with a classic stiff arm in the second half.
