Transfer QB Grayson McCall will no longer visit Auburn

He is one of the top overall players and arguably the top quarterback in the transfer portal.

Transfer quarterback [autotag]Grayson McCall[/autotag] was  planning to visit Auburn this weekend, but that will not happen according to a report by Christian Clemente of Auburn Undercover.

McCall is one of the top players in the transfer portal and arguably the top quarterback after spending the past four seasons at Coastal Carolina.

A three-year starter, he threw for 2,633 yards and 24 touchdowns to just two interceptions in 2022. He has completed 70% of his passes for 8,019 yards and 78 touchdowns to just eight interceptions in 34 career games.

The good news for Auburn is NC State transfer quarterback [autotag]Devin Leary[/autotag] is officially visiting Auburn this weekend. He is also one of the top players in the portal and joins McCall as the top quarterbacks on the transfer market.

With McCall canceling his visit, Leary appears to be Auburn’s top quarterback target. Leary was a star in 2021 for the Wolfpack but was limited to just six games in 2022 because of a shoulder injury.

Completing 66% of his passes, he threw for 3,433 yards and 35 touchdowns to eight interceptions in 2021. In 30 career games, he has completed 60.2% of his passes for 6,807 yards, 62 touchdowns to 16 interceptions. He will have one more season of eligibility at his next school.
