[autotag]Denver Jones[/autotag], one of the top transfer guards, has committed to the Auburn Tigers. Jones announced the news on social media after he took an official visit to the Plains.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard spent the past two seasons at FIU where he averaged 20.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game last season. He shot 37.1% from deep and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Originally from New Market, Alabama, he spent one season at Garden City Community College before going to FIU.
He started all 28 games for the Panthers last season and scored in double figures in all but two games. He made 47.8% of his shots from the field and 84.5% from the free throw line.
He is the first transfer addition for [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] and Auburn as the Tigers look to revamp their roster after going 21-13 last season. The Tigers are in the mix for several other transfers including Georgia transfer Kario Oquendo, who recently put Auburn in his top four schools.
