The Cincinnati Bengals started a viral trending sensation during the team’s recruitment of Kenny Golladay.
Now they’re getting close to doing the same thing again with offensive guard Trai Turner.
Bengals fans coined the #WhoTrai hashtag and it has since taken off on Twitter. It’s not trending like #GollaDEY was just yet, but it’s not wise to put anything past fans at this point.
And that’s especially the case because flicking through Turner’s “likes” on Twitter reveals he’s seen the hashtag and liked tweets about it.
Turner, going on 28, had a down season during his first year with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020, appearing in just nine games. But the former third-round pick has otherwise been a steady starter since 2014.
That makes Turner a pretty attractive target at this stage of free agency as he’d be a starter who can come in and upgrade one of the interior spots. The Bengals have the cash to make it happen — and the fanbase that desperately wants to see it.
