The legal tampering period is coming to a close on Wednesday, giving way to the start of the league year at 4:00 p.m. ET.
From that point, teams are officially allowed to sign free agents instead of just being able to agree to terms with them. When it comes to their own pending free agents, however, teams can re-sign them whenever they want.
The Miami Dolphins entered this offseason with over 30 players hitting the free agent market, and while some could return to South Florida, it’s likely that a number of them will find new organizations to suit up for.
