The bye week is one of the most important weeks for the coaches as it’s the only week throughout the season the coaches can choose exactly where to visit some of their high school recruiting targets. Karl Dorrell deployed his coaching stuff all throughout the country to try and lock in some top recruits, let’s take a look at where they went:
Head coach Karl Dorrell
Karl Dorrell was on hand last night at Recht Field in Boulder to watch Fairview take on Rocky Mountain:

Dorrell stayed in town and visited Fairview High School for some Friday night lights. Tom McCartney, son of legendary CU football coach Bill McCartney, earned his 200th win at Fairview on Friday night.
Quarterbacks coach Danny Langsdorf

Langsdorf was in San Diego and then came back to Colorado to presumably visit top 2023 quarterback target Brayden Dorman. Dorman was 12-for-17 for 232 yards and three touchdowns during Friday night’s matchup against Air Academy.
Offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue

Rodrigue went to where he is comfortable: the South. He attended 2022 commit offensive lineman Carter Edwards’ game in Mississippi and then a state he previously coached high school football in, Alabama.
Tight ends coach Bryan Cook
Cook is one of the Texas guys Colorado has on staff. He went to recruiting hotbed Houston and then visited 2022 commit tight end Zach Courtney in Post, Texas.

One of the most exciting players to ever come out of LA and led @CUBuffsFootball to a Natty in ‘90! Thank you @DarianLH3 for stopping by @WHSBearFootball game last night and checking out our young men! pic.twitter.com/NHgXQiIB0s

Coach Hagan went back to where it all started for him, Los Angeles. He is a prominent name in Southern California and the Buffs need him to pull recruits from one of the biggest hotbeds in the country.
Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Darrin Chiaverini
Chiaverini has taken what appears to be a sabbatical from Twitter after many Buffs fans have been calling for his job for weeks.
Defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Chris Wilson
On the lookout for some future Buffs!

One state CU has recruited hard so far in the Dorrell era is Texas, and that shows with the coaches they sent to the Lone Star State. Wilson went to Dallas to try and find some defensive studs.
Outside linebackers coach Brian Michalowski
Going to be at a couple games watching big time programs with big time prospects 👀 #GoBuffs

Just like with Coach Hagan, the Buffs have to do a better job in Southern California. And that’s why they sent two coaches there during the bye week.
Safeties coach Brett Maxie
Excited to be back in Texas looking for the next great Buff! 🦬🏈 pic.twitter.com/0gOYvXXcmV

As one of the more respected coaching names in the area, Maxie went back to his home in Houston, Texas. Maxie has already had success on the recruiting trail from the Lone Star State and he is trying to continue that success.
Cornerbacks coach Demetrice Martin
Thank you @coach_meat @CUBuffsfootball for coming out to see our student-atheltes this morning. pic.twitter.com/QQsYCFMMF0

Coach Meat also knows what he knows best, Southern California. And that’s where he spent the bye week. Although it’s unclear exactly where he visited, he was pictured at Bishop Amat High School near Los Angeles.
