Last season, Cleveland promoted former offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens to head coach, a move that proved disastrous as the uber-talented, but hyper-undisciplined, Browns finished 6-10 and underperformed in every possible way.

Now, they’ve replaced Kitchens with former Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, a respected coach in the league who has his work cut out for him. Not only will he have to manage all kinds of egos and pull that locker room together, he’ll also have to align the Browns’ offense with the two things the Vikings’ offense were known for last season — boot-action success and a highly effective zone running game. That those two things were actually hallmarks of Vikings assistant head coach Gary Kubiak, and have been for years … well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be out of character for the Browns to hire the wrong guy.
