Touchdown Wire says Ravens will hand Chiefs first loss of 2020

Touchdown Wire recently predicted the first loss of the season for all 32 NFL teams.

The Kansas City Chiefs enter the 2020 NFL season with a target on their backs as the reigning Super Bowl champions. Every team around the league will be looking to hand Kansas City their first loss of the season. It’s just one way to prove that they’ve got what it takes to win Super Bowl LV.

Touchdown Wire’s Barry Werner recently predicted when each of the 32 NFL teams will lose their first game of the 2020 season. While Werner was a bit conflicted about the Chiefs’ first loss, he ultimately landed on the “Monday Night Football” game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. Here’s a look at what Werner had to say about that:

It is tempting to think the Chiefs could fall in a trap game in Week 2 against the Chargers. They open with Houston and then go to Baltimore after the Bolts. Going to believe they will enter the game with the Ravens 2-0 and leave 2-1.

In Chiefs Wire’s game-by-game predictions right after the 2020 schedule was revealed, we also chose the Ravens as the Chiefs’ first loss of the season.

Baltimore and Kansas City have a bit of a rivalry going on in the AFC lately. It feels like the Ravens loaded up on talent in the draft and free agency and have their sights set on beating the Chiefs. I likened this game to the Rams-Chiefs game in 2018. It’s a prime-time game and you can expect a lot of big plays on both sides of the ball. It really will come down to who can make that last play.

Which team do you think will hand the Chiefs their first loss of 2020? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on Facebook, Twitter and the Chiefs Wire forums.
