Torry Holt and Steven Jackson are Hall of Fame nominees for 2022 class

Two of the best players in Rams history are once again nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Isaac Bruce finally earned his rightful place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2020, an honor that was long overdue. Two former Rams will attempt to join him in Canton next year after being named nominees for the 2022 class.

The Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday that Torry Holt and Steven Jackson are among the nominees for next year’s class. This is Jackson’s second year being nominated, while Holt has made it this far every year since 2015, making this his eighth nomination.

Holt has also been voted a semifinalist seven times and a finalist twice, so he’s inching closer to being enshrined in Canton. He’s deserving of a bronze bust and a gold jacket after the career he had with the Rams, leading the NFL in receiving twice and topping 1,000 yards eight straight years from 2000-2007.

Jackson played nine seasons with the Rams, rushing for 10,138 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career with St. Louis. He, too, had at least 1,000 yards in eight straight years, accomplishing that from 2005-2012.
