The struggling Toronto Raptors (1-6) limp into a visit against the Sacramento Kings (4-4) Friday. Tip-off will be at 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors-Kings NBA betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.
The Raptors have lost another three games in a row and started a four-game road trip with a 123-115 loss to the Phoenix Suns Wednesday. Toronto led 25-22 after the first quarter but was outscored 74-62 in the second and third frames. The Suns shot 21-for-40 as a team from 3-point range.
The Kings snapped a three-game losing skid with a 128-124 win over the Chicago Bulls Wednesday. Their previous loss came by a 137-106 count against the Golden State Warriors Monday.

Raptors at Kings: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Kings 112, Raptors 109
Money line (ML)
Back the KINGS (+170) as plus-money underdogs. Sure, Wednesday’s win was only against the Chicago Bulls, but they have a pair of impressive victories over the Denver Nuggets and one against the Suns earlier in the season. Toronto’s last win was a 100-83 victory over the New York Knicks Dec. 31, and it doesn’t deserve to lay -200 against anyone right now.
The Kings are dominating everyone in offensive rebounding while the Raps are just 17th on the offensive glass and 23rd on the defensive end. Toronto is in the bottom third of the league in 3-point, 2-point and free-throw shooting, and dead-last in field-goal shooting (42.2%).
Toronto also commits more fouls than all but two teams and is 28th in free throws per field-goal attempts.
Against the spread (ATS)
Based on all of the above and while taking the Kings for the home upset, we’ll also back SACRAMENTO +4.5 (+100) with 4 points of insurance in the event of a loss.
The Raptors are relying far too heavily on the play of Gs Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet while Fs Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby have shown little sign of the budding superstardom from the team’s championship-winning 2018-19 campaign.
Over/Under (O/U)
Go with the UNDER 225.5 (-110). The teams are a combined 9-6 against the Over/Under but they’re each being outscored by more than 4 points per game.
If Toronto was to “get right” in this spot, as BetMGM is heavily projecting, it would be the defense showing the greater improvements. The Under is an adequate hedge against the above two picks of the Kings.
