Raptors at 76ers: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Raptors 108, 76ers 106

Money line (ML)

The 76ers were hammered 118-94 on the road by the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday. The ugly loss followed Saturday’s 109-89 victory at the New York Knicks and a 113-107 win over the Washington Wizards to open the season Dec. 23. Embiid and his 28.0 points per game are expected to return to the lineup Tuesday; four other players are averaging double-digit PPG with all but Embiid having played all three games.

The Raptors lost consecutive games but have had an extra day of rest following Saturday’s 119-114 loss at the San Antonio Spurs. Five players are scoring in double digits, but none have more than 18.0 PPG. They held the lead after the opening quarter in both games thus far and should continue improving their rotation after several key offseason departures.

Back TORONTO (+105) at plus-money for the first time this season. The Raps beat the Sixers 3-1 in their 2019-20 head-to-head series.

Against the spread (ATS)

We can back the RAPTORS +1.5 (-110) with 1 point of insurance in the event of a wonky ending. They’re shooting just 74.1% from the free-throw line as a team and are being outrebounded by 8.5 boards per game.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Raptors’ poor defensive play has been one of the biggest surprises of the season for them as they’ve allowed at least 113 points in each game. Trust in reigning Coach of the Year Nick Nurse to get his healthy team back on track, especially against one of their most familiar opponents.

The Sixers held the Knicks to just 89 points before the blowout loss at Cleveland and should show better defensive focus under new head coach Doc Rivers.

Back the UNDER 218.5 (-110).
