The Toronto Raptors (23-44) and Orlando Magic (39-28) play the 2nd game of a home-and-home Sunday. Tip-off from Kia Center is set for 6 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Raptors vs. Magic odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Magic lead 2-0

Orlando covered as a 7.5-point favorite with a 113-103 win over the Raptors in Friday’s meeting with the Under (217.5) cashing in downtown Toronto — and we predicted both the spread and total correctly. F Franz Wagner had a team-high 19 points for the Magic, who have won back-to-back games and 15 of 20.

The Raptors, on the other hand, are on 6-game skid and have covered in just 2 of those losses. Toronto’s last win was against the Charlotte Hornets March 3, the 1st game it played after F Scottie Barnes injured his hand against the Golden State Warriors March 1.

Orlando has covered in both meetings against Toronto this season, and the Over/Under (O/U) has gone 1-1.

Raptors at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Magic 110, Raptors 104

Moneyline

The Magic (-750) are not worth a play at this price — especially in a spot where teams can be complacent after winning the 1st game of a home-and-home.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

I don’t have a spreadsheet to back this up, but I believe the scariest bets in the NBA are profitable long-term.

The Raptors may be on a 6-game skid (2-4 ATS), but this is too many points to give the losing team on the back end of a home-and-home. Toronto arguably outplayed the Magic for the 1st 2½ quarters Friday and actually led 69-67 with 4:26 remaining in the 3rd.

Expect the Magic to be complacent after Friday’s win — not trying to run up the score and win by 13+.

BET RAPTORS +12.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The Under hit in Friday’s meeting, and neither team has looked great offensively lately. The Magic have gone 15 consecutive games without a 120-point performance, while the Raptors haven’t eclipsed the mark in 9 straight.

The Under has hit in 9 of the Magic’s last 11 games, and while I like the Raptors to keep it close, Orlando’s defense should still help the Under hit.

BET UNDER 216.5 (-110).
