Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Toronto Raptors at Minnesota Timberwolves NBA odds and lines, with basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Milwaukee Bucks (16-11) host the Toronto Raptors (12-15) for an 8 p.m. ET tip-off at Fiserv Forum Tuesday. It’s the first of a two-game set between the Eastern Conference rivals with Game 2 going Thursday. Below, we analyze the Raptors-Bucks NBA odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Raptors took a 115-108 loss against the Bucks Jan. 27. They’ve lost back-to-back games coming into Tuesday after losing 120-106 on the road against the Boston Celtics and 116-112 to the Minnesota Timberwolves Sunday.

The Bucks have dropped three straight games following a five-game winning streak. The losses include a late-game collapse against the Phoenix Suns and a 14-point blowout loss against the Utah Jazz; all three games were on the road.

Raptors at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 118, Raptors 109

Money line (ML)

PASS, because the Bucks are the play but not at the -225 price tag amid a losing slide. Milwaukee has won and covered the spread in three of the last four regular-season head-to-head clashes since the Raps topped the Bucks in the 2018-19 NBA Playoffs en route to their first championship.

Both teams have bad 3-point defense and that could potentially swing things toward the underdog but the recent loss to the lowly T-Wolves is really all you need to fade the Raps.

Against the spread (ATS)

Back the BUCKS -5.5 (-110) to win by at least 6 points for a proper return on investment. The absence of Holiday has taken an obvious toll during the Bucks’ three-game losing skid, but he had a ho-hum performance against the Raptors earlier this season with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

SF Giannis Antetokounmpo (24 points), C Brook Lopez (20) and SF Khris Middleton (24) led the way that time out. The Bucks won the rebounding battle 59-46, outscored the Raps 40-26 in the paint and 17-0 on fast-break points.

Over/Under (O/U)

The last six Bucks-Raptors games played to the Under, although defensive intensity was ratcheted up in most of those with playoff seeding on the line or with the teams in the playoffs.

Look for both top-tier head coaches to emphasize defense over offense while trying to get their teams back on track. Back the UNDER 235.5 (-110) on the highest total on Tuesday’s NBA slate.
