The Chargers kept it close against the 49ers on Sunday night, but the injury-riddled team could not prevail.
Here’s how the internet reacted to Week 10 showdown:
what an effort by the @chargers playing without one of the best pass rushers in the league, without Keenan one of the top receivers and Mike Williams and still able to compete with what some call a super bowl loaded roster coming off a bye

The Chargers headed into this matchup incredibly banged up, lost their TE1 and two more defensive tackles during the game, and battled until the very end. All in all I’m happy with how they performed tonight.

Honestly, that the Chargers were even competitive in this game with no Slater, no Bosa, no Keenan, no Williams, and like four MORE guys getting hurt in this game on top of all that…it's kinda impressive.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is…Quentin Johnston, no matter what.

My new official stance:
Everything good this offense does is because of Herbert
Everything bad this offense does is because of Lombardi

The Chargers have a serious problem right now. The only capable skill position player is Austin Ekeler. When Gerald Everett went out, it completely killed the offense. Not his fault. He played extremely well but he needs help. We can’t trot out practice squad caliber starters

I’m gonna be blunt. Any Chargers fans complaining or calling for firings tonight doesn’t understand football.
This injured roster was so outmatched by the Niners. Still had a chance to win. Disappointing for sure, but this team is well coached & the culture is right @LAFBNetwork

Good job Niners you beat a injured chargers team.

Chargers defense did as well as it could have given the circumstances. Credit to that side of the ball for doing their part. ST as well. Now the offense needs to drive and survive…here we go.

The good news is the Chargers are still a very competitive team even when they’re not healthy
The question is will they ever actually get healthy?

The fact the #Chargers are still in this game with a minute to play despite all of the injuries speaks a lot
