Top three replacement options for LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger

The LSU Tigers rewrote record books on offense in 2019 behind Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow at quarterback.

Final thoughts

Longo, Grimes, and Johnson are three names to watch for LSU in this search. However, Graham Harrell of USC could also be a name to watch. He is familiar with the Air Raid offense, although he has frustrated USC fans in his two years there.

LSU could also look to the NFL for its next offensive coordinator. What about DJ Mangas? He worked with Joe Brady as an offensive analyst at LSU in 2019 before following him to the NFL. Mangas has a long history with Brady that could be enticing to LSU.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Russ Callaway, who spent the 2020 season as an offensive analyst for LSU.

Orgeron is high on Callaway and could name him passing game coordinator and tight ends coach to make him a full-time member of the coaching staff.

Regardless of who Orgeron chooses, LSU will have plenty of solid options. Orgeron must take his time to make sure he gets the right guy.
