Top TE prospect Dalton Kincaid gets full medical clearance

Dalton Kincaid can make a case to be the first tight end selected.

The top tight end prospect in the 2023 NFL draft is still very much up for debate. There are three players who can make a case to be the first tight end off the board, and likely the only tight end to go in the first round. Utah’s Dalton Kincaid is one of those players along with Darnell Washington of Georgia and Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer.

On Wednesday, Kincaid’s doctor, Dr. Robert Watkins, sent out a letter to the league indicating that Kincaid is medically cleared for all activities, which should cement his status as the top tight end in this draft.

“Dalton Kincaid sustained a back injury while playing football on 11/26/2022,” said Watkins. “Subsequent MRIs have shown appropriating healing and he has been asymptomatic with no pain and no limitation of function for at least 3 months. He is cleared to play football with no restrictions.”
