The Georgia Bulldogs are 1-0 after securing a dominant season opening 34-3 win over the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta.
Georgia’s offense found its rhythm in the second half and helped the Bulldogs outscore Clemson 28-3 after halftime. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw two touchdowns and avoided turnovers. Both of his touchdowns came to transfer wide receivers (Colbie Young and London Humphreys).
Georgia freshman running back Nate Frazier showed explosiveness and tallied 83 rushing yards along with a touchdown.
The Georgia defense suffocated the Clemson offense. The Tigers managed 188 total yards including 46 rushing yards on 23 carries. Georgia safety Malaki Starks caught an acrobatic interception in the second half to put an exclamation mark on Georgia’s win.
