Amid Colorado football’s second preseason camp under head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffs received some positive recruiting news regarding four-star edge rusher Colton Yarbrough.
Yarbrough, the top-ranked class of 2026 prospect in Oklahoma (247Sports), revealed his top five on Wednesday, and Colorado was featured alongside the Georgia Bulldogs, Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma State Cowboys and LSU Tigers. None of those five teams will wait in suspense long because Yarbrough also announced he’ll commit on Saturday.
The Buffs have been interested in Yarbrough for about 18 months, first offering the Durant High School rising junior in January 2023. If the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Oklahoma standout does commit to Colorado this weekend, he’ll become Coach Prime’s first class of 2026 pledge.
247Sports ranks Yarbrough as the No. 17 EDGE in his recruiting class and the No. 147 prospect nationally.
