Bryce Tucker committed to Rutgers on Monday, giving the track-and-field program one of the top athletes in the area.
Not just one of the top sprinters it turns out, but the class of 2023 standout is also one of the most versatile runners in the area. In addition to track, Tucker also runs cross country.
Tucker is perhaps best known for last year capturing the Meet of Champions in the 400 hurdles. It was a time that, according to NJ Advanced Media, put him among the top five in the nation.
Following an offer from Rutgers in early October, Tucker committed to the program three weeks later. He posted the news of his commitment on social media:
I am honored and thankful to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Rutgers University New Brunswick. I want to thank my parents and coaches for helping and guiding me to be the runner I am today! pic.twitter.com/h21yQ3xov5
