When there is a top talent in your backyard that is getting recruited by some of the best schools in the county, you to keep that recruit home. Last year, Notre Dame accomplished that mission, as they signed Blake Fisher, who by all accounts has been one of the most impressive early enrollees.

That was the 2021 class, and with the focus on the 2022 cycle, in steps Greenwood defensive tackle Caden Curry. The Irish have already received a commit from instate tackle Joey Tanona, one of the best in the country as well.

The rising senior cut his list to 12 schools, with the Irish still in contention.

The main competition out of his top-12 seem to be the perennial powers Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. The most recent four College Football Playoff participants will battle it out for Curry’s commitment.
There will surely be more cut downs of Curry’s lists and it seems like head coach Brian Kelly and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman would like to keep him home.
