Top High School Quarterback in Nebraska announces his commitment

The number one prep quarterback in the state of Nebraska has announced his commitment, and it’s out of state.

A 2023 Nebraska high school football prospect, has announced he will be leaving the state to continue his career. Zane Flores of Gretna High School has announced that he will be heading to Oklahoma State as a member of the Cowboy’s 2023 recruiting class. Last season Flores threw for 2,885 yards and 26 touchdowns. He led his high school team to a 12-1 record during the 2021 season and won the Nebraska Class A State Title. However, that title was later vacated after the Nebraska School Activities Association ruled that an ineligible player had been used on the team’s roster.

Flores had received other offers from power five programs like Washington, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Oregon State, Kansas State, Kansas, and Indiana. However, he had received only soft interest from the Cornhuskers, and no scholarship offer was ever made. Flores is the fifth commit in the Oklahoma State recruiting class and their first quarterback. One way or another, Nebraska will be connected to the Big 12 Conference.
