3.) Tom Brady’s age
We all like to think of Brady as this invincible machine, and when you play as well as he has into his 40s that tends to happen. But let’s not forget that he’ll be 43 years old when the 2020 season rolls around. Not only that, he’ll be an older quarterback joining a new team for the first time in his NFL career. This offseason of social distancing has prevented Brady from getting some serious training time in with his new teammates, although he has hit the field with them a few times at a local Tampa prep school. Brady’s learning a new offense and working with new teammates. There won’t be that same familiarity and comfort in the offense like he had in New England. While younger quarterbacks tend to rely on their athleticism to help them get by when learning a new system, Brady isn’t the most nimble quarterback out there. 43 isn’t 40.
