Almost daily, it seems that Kentucky basketball adds another name to the list of 2025 recruits they have contacted. The next name on the list is forward Caleb Wilson.
Wilson is a 6’9″ power forward out of Georgia, and is the number six overall player according to 247sports. He’s rated five stars and will be a highly sought after player.
Kentucky assistant coach Alvin Brooks has reached out to Wilson, but he says he hasn’t heard from Mark Pope yet, as he told On3’s Joe Tipton (subscription required).
Coach Pope has not reached out. I’m still interested in the school. They have a good basketball program, but coach Pope hasn’t reached out. It’s still an SEC program. They still have a rich basketball culture, whether coach Cal is there or not. Of course coach Cal added to that prestige. It’s like any SEC school, you’re going to get a great fanbase and great competition. I feel like they will still be good. I’m still interested in them, for sure.
Wilson isn’t making a decision any time soon, so Kentucky has plenty of time to get to know him and perhaps schedule a visit. There will be a lot of schools vying for his services, but he would be a huge addition if the Wildcats can land him.
