The LSU Tigers continued their roll on the recruiting trail Friday when four-star defensive back JaDarian Rhym pledged to the Tigers.

Rhym, a 2022 prospect from Valdosta High in Valdosta, Georgia, is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback who is ranked as the No. 145 overall player in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Rhym is a natural corner with smooth athleticism and good size who will play early for LSU. He is another big addition for defensive backs coach Corey Raymond.

Rhym picked the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and a host of other offers.

LSU’s 2022 recruiting class remains No.2 in the country after the commitment of Rhym. The Tigers now have eight commitments on board and Rhym is the first cornerback committed.

LSU will return Derek Stingley Jr., Eli Ricks, Dwight McGlothern, Jay Ward and Cordale Flott to the cornerback room in 2021. Next season will likely be Stingley’s last before he enters the NFL draft.
