Top 2021 signee Ja’Tavion Sanders caps off senior year with state title

From state champion to Texas Longhorns signee, Denton Ryan’s Ja’Tavion Sanders brings a new level of excitement to the Forty Acres.

The Texas Longhorns are going to get a two-way playmaker when Ja’Tavion Sanders officially arrives to the Forty Acres.

Sanders was one of 20 recruits to sign his letter of intent during the early signing period in December. The top rated athlete in the 2021 class has been a man among boys every time he stepped onto the football field during the 2020 high school football season. Former head coach Tom Herman stated that Sanders would get opportunities on both sides of the ball. It appears that he wants to get a lot of looks on the offensive side of the ball.

With the addition of Sanders, the tight end room feels like it could become really crowded in the upcoming season. He does provide the athletic ability to play outside or a big slot role as needed. Sanders was dominant in the run to the state championship.

A look at some highlights from his career:

Virtually impossible to not get excited about the potential of Ja’Tavion Sanders at the University of Texas. He will likely get his opportunities in the years to come. Pay attention to him when he puts on the burnt orange and runs onto the field at Darryl K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
