After my disastrous prediction in last year’s opening game for the Colorado Buffaloes against TCU in Boulder, you’d think I would’ve learned my lesson about not going out on a limb. It would be wise to take a more cautious approach after a 1-11 season, the introduction of a new head coach and a level of roster turnover that has essentially never been seen before.
I say to heck with that!
Colorado is going to pull off the 20-point upset in Fort Worth. TCU lost a great deal of talent to the NFL. While the Horned Frogs reloaded with an impressive list of new additions, so have the Buffaloes. Colorado is talented, ready to play loose and is led into battle by a veteran staff. Most importantly, they are going to be playing with a swagger that only Coach Prime can bring to the table.
My prediction: Colorado gets the scoring going early and hangs on for the huge 42-38 upset.
