It appears former UFC interim champion [autotag]Tony Ferguson[/autotag] will fight back in his case for allegedly driving under the influence and crashing his truck last month.

Ferguson, 39, was arrested and booked into jail in the early morning hours of May 7 after he allegedly crashed his truck into two cars parked outside a nightclub in Hollywood, Calif. Online court records show that Ferguson entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment on June 1, which was first reported by TMZ.

On the day of the crash, a police spokeswoman told MMA Junkie that Ferguson’s arrest came after the truck he allegedly was driving ran into two parked vehicles, then overturned. There were two occupants inside the truck when it overturned, but first responders were able to pull them out without major injuries, the spokeswoman said.

The crash resulted in the truck being flipped on its side. According to TMZ, Ferguson was “very uncooperative” when he was taken into custody. Video provided to TMZ from the scene shows a tow truck operator flipping a truck back onto all four wheels after having come to rest atop two cars.

One of the cars, according to TMZ, belonged to a rapper named Cash Gotti, who came outside to find his Mercedes likely totaled.

Even with legal woes hanging over him, the UFC booked Ferguson to fight Bobby Green at UFC 291 on July 29 from Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.

Ferguson, who won Season 13 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” is on the worst skid of his career with five consecutive losses against Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Beneil Dariush, Michael Chandler, and most recently Nate Diaz last September at UFC 279.
