Toms River North standout Justin Kaye commits to Stony Brook

New Jersey offensive lineman Justin Kaye makes his college commitment.

Justin Kaye committed to Stony Brook on Friday. One of the top offensive linemen in New Jersey this past fall, Kaye held a Preferred Walk On (PWO) offer from Rutgers football.

Kaye is a 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive tackle from Toms River North (Toms River, New Jersey).

This week, Kaye announced a final 10 that included Rutgers along with Boston College, Miami, Northwestern, Penn State and several FBS programs alongside Stony Brook. He made the decision to take the scholarship offer from Stony Book.

Kaye was part of a fearsome Toms River North offensive line that also featured four-star Jaelyne Matthews, a member of the 2025 recruiting class. Matthews received his first Power Five offer from Rutgers and is currently at Tennessee this week on an unofficial visit.

“I made the choice of Stony Brook because on my official visit, they treated me like family and I fell in love with Long Island,” Kaye told RutgersWire this week.

“It’s the best fit for me because I have a great offensive line coach in coach Bache (Chris Bache) and it’s a program in a rebuild and I want to be part of that. Also a young and ambitious head coach in coach Cosh (Billy Cosh).”

He will be signing his National Letter of Intent (NLI) on February 7.
