Georgia Bulldogs head coach Tom Crean offered quite a bit of praise to former player Nicolas Claxton over the weekend and believes the second-round pick has a bright future in the NBA.
Claxton was projected to be a first-round pick by many experts last year but slipped to the Brooklyn Nets with the first pick of the second round. His game fits the modern NBA style and can be a valuable addition to the rotation in the future given his versatility.
Claxton has even drawn comparisons to future Hall of Famer Chris Bosh based on his ability to play inside and outside. He has fantastic lateral ability at his size and has good quickness on the floor, something Crean pointed out on Twitter.
The more I study and watch NBA ball screen offense and defense, the more I believe @_claxton33 is going to be an ABSOLUTE FORCE in the League for a long long time. He is quick, plays low, has great feet , flexible hips, length and great balance. Go @BrooklynNets ! pic.twitter.com/9ilDHh9X6B

Claxton played sparingly this season with the Nets prior to the suspension of the regular season, averaging 4.4 points in 15 games, but has shown the potential to be a consistent role player in the future.
