Tom Brady’s last pass as a Patriot was a pick-six in the playoffs

Tom Brady’s accomplishments with the New England Patriots are unparalleled by any other quarterback in league history, but after revealing on Tuesday morning that his “football journey will take place elsewhere,” the final image of Brady in New England will be the six-time Super Bowl champion throwing a game-sealing pick-six in the playoffs.

The Patriots were regarded as Super Bowl favorites midway through the 2019 NFL season, but after losing three of their last five games to close the regular season, New England was forced to host a Wild Card game for the first time since 2009.

NFL rushing champion Derrick Henry dominated the game, rushing for 182 yards and one touchdown – but the Patriots still had a chance to pull off a miracle comeback late in the fourth quarter.

The Titans nearly ran the clock out, and then executed a perfect punt to the 1-yard line. Brady received the ball down 14-13 with nine seconds remaining and no timeouts, and his pass attempt was broken up and caught by Logan Ryan, who ran untouched into the end zone for a touchdown.
