Tom Brady’s devastating trash talk for Mike Vrabel is borderline mean

Brady was just getting started when he said: “Mike’s a real [expletive] when you get to know him.”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is one heck of a trash talker. Sometimes, it can be a bit much. When he and coach Mike Vrabel got into a back and forth during the joint practices between the Bucs and the Tennessee Titans, Brady brutally roasted his former teammate and good friend in Vrabel.

“Mike’s a real [expletive] when you get to know him. He went to Ohio State. Obviously, I don’t like him,” Brady said in an interview with the Buccaneers’ media team. “There’s a healthy rivalry between us, even though he’s kind of fat and out of shape. Physically, he’s really declined to a pretty sad state.”

Wow. I can’t tell if that’s good trash talk or it’s just mean.

Thankfully, Vrabel got in a jab of his own.

“It’s good to see another defense carry Brady to a Super Bowl,” Vrabel said on the field to the Buccaneers and Titans during joint practices. Vrabel was a three-time Super Bowl champion in New England, where he was a key player in helping Brady get his first three rings.

If that’s what they’re saying to each other in public, I don’t want to know what they’re saying in private.
