Despite having their playoff spot locked in, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will still have their biggest names in the lineup for Week 18.
Tom Brady will start at quarterback for the Bucs in Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Todd Bowles confirmed Wednesday. Bowles also said he plans to play his starters elsewhere in the lineup, as well.
The Bucs clinched the NFC South title with a 30-24 comeback win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and will be the No. 4 seed in the NFC regardless of the outcome this week against Atlanta.
Brady has expressed his desire to play Sunday on multiple occasions already this week, and it looks like he’ll be getting his wish.
Bowles did say that veteran backup Blaine Gabbert would be next in line were Brady to exit the game at any point, but that second-year quarterback Kyle Trask has a good chance of dressing for the game.
