Tom Brady swatted away unretirement rumors with cattiest excuse

Tom Brady might not be … kitten … about staying retired.

Tom Brady has swatted down a rumor of him returning to the NFL.

On Monday, word circulated from NFL Network’s Rich Eisen that Brady could potentially unretire (again) to join the Miami Dolphins.

The news gave everyone flashbacks to March 2022, when Brady unretired for the first time to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That decision wound up being the wrong one on the gridiron, with the Bucs underwhelming and earning a quick NFC playoff exit in January.

Well, Brady didn’t wait around long to respond to the report and honestly found the purr-fect excuse for staying retired. It does not appear that he’s … feline … like a comeback this time around.

In a tweet, Brady says life as a new kitten owner will keep him plenty busy off the field.

The Brady family recently adopted two Siamese mix kittens, and the future Hall of Famer succumbed to the kitten cuteness in recent Instagram stories.

While nobody knows for sure if Brady will really stay retired or mount another comeback, Tuesday’s tweet shows that he might not be … kitten … this time about leaving the game for good.

It’s not im-paws-ible that he returns, but he doesn’t look ready to pounce on another opportunity right now.
