Tom Brady sees the Rams as one of the biggest threats to the Chiefs in 2024

Tom Brady sees the Rams as “a team to watch” in 2024

The Kansas City Chiefs are widely viewed as the best team in the league once again entering the 2024 season as they go for the three-peat. Their path to another Super Bowl win won’t be easy, of course, and Tom Brady sees three teams as the biggest threats to their chances of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the third straight year.

Among them? The Los Angeles Rams.

At Fanatics Fest, Brady sat down with Stephen A. Smith and mentioned the Rams among the teams with the best chance to unseat the Chiefs, alongside the 49ers and Packers.

“I think it’s probably still the 49ers, and the Packers, I think, are going to be a great team,” Brady stated. “And you know what? I think the Rams are going to be a good team this year, too. Very good offense, receiving corps. They lost Aaron Donald. Nobody can replace him. That guy is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, but they’ve drafted really well. They got a really underrated defense, so that’s going to be a team to watch, too.”

The Rams are a young team led by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, but they’re loaded with talent, particularly on offense. Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp give Los Angeles one of the best receiver tandems in the league, Kyren Williams led the NFL in rushing yads per game and the offensive line is improved thanks to the additions made in the last two years.

On defense, they did lose Donald but as Brady mentioned, they drafted really well and have some outstanding young players on that side of the ball, including rookies Jared Verse and Braden Fiske.

After making it to the playoffs and giving the Lions a run for their money in the wild-card round last season, the Rams should be viewed as a legitimate contender this year after reloading in the offseason. Brady isn’t far off in highlighting the Rams as a team to watch in 2024.
