It’s not as funny as it once was.
The Tennessee Titans got off to a slow 2-4 start to the 2019 season, filled with offensive woes, but quickly righted them after naming Ryan Tannehill the team’s starting quarterback in Week 7.
One particular quarterback set to hit free agency reportedly underestimated Tennessee’s offense ahead of the season.
Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal said he was told by Tom Brady’s teammates that the signal-caller found the Titans’ offense to be ‘laughable’ after the joint practices held in August.
“Brady’s not going to Tennessee, where teammates told me Brady thought their offensive system during joint practices was laughable and whose offensive personnel could never run the passing offense to Brady’s specifications,” he wrote.
It will be interesting to see where Brady lands – if he does end up outside of New England in 2020 – but it’s safe to assume that he’s probably gained more respect for the system offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is running in Nashville.
The only team that should realistically have Brady on the roster aside from the Patriots, according to Bedard’s report.
Los Angeles will be looking to fill the void at quarterback with the departure of veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who is also set to hit free agency.
