The wait is finally over.

After months and months of speculation of what former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady, who has won more Super Bowls than any other player in NFL history, would do — resign with New England or play elsewhere — he’s finally landed with a new team for the first time since the Patriots drafted him at No. 199 overall.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday evening that Brady was expected to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — a departure from the prohibitive favorites of the LA Chargers or Las Vegas Raiders — and while the NFL Twitter account ran with it, there was no announcement by Brady nor the team of his signing.

But now it’s officially official, with the announcement coming early Friday on Twitter.

In his NFL career, Brady has played in 285 games and has completed 63.8% of his passes for 74,571 career yards and 541 touchdowns.

2020 will be the first year since he joined the Patriots in 2000 that he will be wearing a different uniform.
