The New England Patriots had nothing but huge praise for Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon coming out of their Week 15 encounter.
Bill Belichick said Mixon might even be the best back in the league.
Which makes plenty of sense — Mixon popped off for 136 yards on 25 carries, averaging well over five yards per carry in the process. He had several highlight-worthy runs and was the only big point of offense for an otherwise drab Bengals attack.
Praise or not, Mixon didn’t get one thing he wanted from the postgame — a chance at a jersey swap with Tom Brady himself. He took to Twitter:
Bruh.. I still can’t believe I shook @TomBrady hand today and had a lil conversation with him😂 I ain’t gone lie I wanted to ask for his jersey but was too scared to ask🤦🏽♂️😂

Brady heard:
Great game Joe, I’ll send a jersey your way! https://t.co/U2Et9XYgzK

And the finale:
Bro @TomBrady just made my Year😂this is crazy! Man I’m so blessed to be playing this game! Just know one is on the way for ya brotha💯

Given the trials of this season, Mixon is certainly deserving of some year-end fun like this. Rest assured if the Patriots think this highly of him, the rest of the NFL does too.
